Grafton Correctional Camp
1800 South Avon-Beldon Road

Case No. CR-213541
Alleged Offense: Murder
Prison Term: 15-Life
Sentenced: 5/28/87

When Joseph was attacked and threatened, he stabbed the victim in the shoulder,
in self defense. His ex-girlfriend's testimony made it sound like he was the attacker,
even though she kept changing her story. It couldn't have happened the way she described it.

How Did This Happen? See Diagram

The facts in the instant case more closely falls within the confines
of voluntary manslaughter.  Viewing the facts in a light most favorable
to the state, the most any reasonable jury could convict the defendant of
would be this charge.  The circumstances in which the defendant stabbed
Rodney Macon in the shoulder indicates that murder is not the proper verdict.

"Your innocence will be clear to everyone; He will vindicate you
with the blazing light of justice shining down as from the noonday sun."
-Ps. 37:6
"Do not fear them.  For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed,
and nothing hidden that will not be known."
-Matt. 10:26
